The Nuclear Medicine Scientist role is a critical position within the Theranostics and Nuclear Medicine department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the safe and effective performance of nuclear medicine procedures and therapeutic treatments.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care through the safe and effective performance of nuclear medicine procedures and therapeutic treatments, including dose preparation, administration, and post-treatment monitoring, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support and contribute to clinical trials and research by participating in multidisciplinary, evidence-based practices that drive service improvement and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships across healthcare networks, universities, and other key stakeholders to ensure coordinated and collaborative service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, including accurate documentation, confidentiality of patient records, and participation in systems for resource and patient flow management.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, meeting mandatory training requirements, and actively engaging in succession planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a current radiation licence, holding a recognised degree in Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to positive patient outcomes and organisational goals.
- Strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, capable of navigating complex clinical and research environments.
- Committed to continuous professional development, with active engagement in education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Personal alignment with the mission and values of the organisation, with a proactive approach to workplace safety, risk management, and patient-centred care.
