The
Clinical Fellow
is responsible for assessing and managing inpatient and outpatient cancer patients receiving radiation therapy, collaborating with research teams and other specialists as part of an education initiative. The Fellow will work under the supervision of Radiation Oncologists and participate in clinical research as part of a structured development program.
The ideal candidate has completed at least 4 years of accredited training in Radiation Oncology or another oncology specialty. They must demonstrate
clinical competency
,
teamwork skills
,
time management
, and
problem-solving skills
within a complex clinical environment.
Manage Radiation Oncology outpatients under the direction of Radiation Oncologists
Assess and formulate a management plan for patients presenting for care
Participate in research activities and interpret data for publication and presentation
Develop specialty interests based on experience and mentorship
Observe leading-edge treatments at GenesisCare sites
Communicate assessment and management decisions to Radiation Oncologists and staff
Ensure accurate patient documentation exists
Coordinate effectively with other health professionals regarding management plans and consultations
