About the Role

The Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for building relationships and driving engagement with Community Organisations, Educational Institutes, high Schools, Employers, and young people. This role aims to increase young people's success in finding work, returning to education, and engaging with appropriate community services to address barriers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships and driving engagement with Community Organisations and Educational Institutions within the employment region to gain a better understanding of resources available for Participants. They will also work with and within schools to direct register Group 2 Participants.

In addition to the above, the Community Engagement Officer will provide post-placement support to the employer and young person to identify risk of falling out of employment/education, implement individualised strategies to eliminate risk of fall out, increase job sustainability, and ensure young people are meeting employer's expectations.
