About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Generative AI Research Intern to join our team at Tencent, a leading technology company in the gaming industry. As a 3D Generative AI Research Intern, you will be responsible for developing AI systems that generate high-quality 3D models from text descriptions or image inputs, applicable to game production and other application scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop AI Systems: Design and implement AI systems that can generate high-quality 3D models from text descriptions or image inputs, with a focus on game production and other application scenarios.
  • Optimize AI Models: Optimize large AIGC models (3D generation) to improve quality, speed, diversity, and controllability, and promote the industrial deployment and product implementation of generated 3D models.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate across teams to seamlessly integrate 3D models into gaming environments, enhance player experience, and advance the application of AI technology in specific business scenarios.
Requirements
  • Education: Master or PHD Degree in Computer Vision or Computer Graphics.
  • Experience: Experience in directions such as 3D model generation, UV texture generation, PBR material generation, automatic rigging, and automatic mesh skinning.
  • AI Model Experience: Experience in using and training AI models such as Diffusion, ViT, DiT, GAN, ControlNet, LoRA, IP-Adapter, Inpainting, Super Resolution, etc.
  • 3D Dataset Experience: Experience in building 3D datasets (characters, objects, scenes) and various 3D data processing (Mesh, Voxel, NeRF, Triplane, SDF, GaussianSplatting, FlexiCubes, etc.).
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C/C++), mastery of deep learning frameworks, strong coding capabilities, and those with ACM regional competition gold medals or influential open-source projects are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Publications: Publications in top computer vision and graphics conferences and journals (such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH/Asia, NIPS, ICML, PAMI, IJCV, TOG, TVCG, etc.).
  • Practical Experience: Prior experience with practical 3D modeling software (e.g. Maya, Blender, 3DS Max) or game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine).
