The role of Facilities Manager is a critical one in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of UFC managed properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and liaising with relevant stakeholders to facilitate accommodation 'fit-outs' that meet individual client and NDIS requirements.
As a Facilities Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop strong project management and negotiation skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You will also have the chance to work collaboratively with partners, colleagues, and clients to achieve team results and support team decisions.
Required skills and qualifications include relevant tertiary qualifications, such as real estate or previous experience in a similar role. Additionally, knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes is essential. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are also highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site audits and prepare Condition reports
- Undertake regular routine site inspections of leased properties to ensure properties are maintained in good order and meet required standards and those of the clients
- Oversee the 'fit out' of apartments in a timely manner including the purchase and coordination of furniture
- Manage and direct cleaning practices
- Prepare and carry out emergency protocols and procedures
- Maintain a safe environment for building occupants and visitors
- Ensure facilities follow applicable policies, regulations, and building codes
- Respond to inquiries and requests by building tenants and resolve any issues
