About the Role:

The Senior Policy Professional will be responsible for leading research, analysis, review, and evaluation of complex policy, procedural, and program matters. They will contribute to the formulation and implementation of strategic and workable policy responses to emerging issues, providing advice and guidance to senior officers and ministers on policy development, program design, and implementation.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. They will also be able to produce high-quality written work with precision and clarity, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for Queensland schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research, analysis, review, and evaluation of complex policy, procedural, and program matters
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of strategic and workable policy responses to emerging issues
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior officers and ministers on policy development, program design, and implementation
  • Develop clear, high-quality policy documentation for various audiences
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on performance data to support evidence-informed decision-making
