Commercial Contract Manager Opportunity

This role involves providing commercial support to drive favorable outcomes for a business operating in the Australasian region.

The Commercial Contracts Advisor will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating tenders, customer supply contracts, and addressing a broad range of other commercial issues.

The role reports directly to a senior leader and works with key stakeholders to drive desired commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial contract negotiations for businesses operating in Australia and APAC.
  • Oversee and review the execution and compliance to contracts and management of commercial contracts.
  • Have knowledge on commercial best practices and be able to review and understand business risk and support business decisions.
  • Support strategic leadership teams on commercial issues as and when they arise.
  • Be familiar with commercial insurance policies and advise the business on coverage issues in connection with customer supply contracts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tender and/or commercial contract management.
  • Mining/engineering/construction industry experience highly desirable but not required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand commercial ramifications of contract provisions.
  • Ability to draft legal contract amendments/clauses.
  • Good commercial sense as well as excellent contracting skills.
