A rare opportunity has arisen for a skilled Paralegal/Secretary to join our esteemed Wills and Estates Law team at a premier mid-tier firm in Sydney. This is a full-spectrum role that offers a stimulating and secure future, with a focus on work-life balance and flexibility.

Your Role

As the trusted right-hand to a senior Associate and Partner, you will be responsible for providing intimate assistance with wills, estates planning, asset planning, trusts, probate issues, and contested wills disputes. Your duties will include:

  • Liaising with clients, barristers, solicitors, and third parties;
  • Managing day-to-day client file management;
  • Preparing and typing basic wills, powers of attorney, and other legal documents;
  • Preparing briefs for barristers and diary management;
  • Engaging in ad-hoc projects and general administration;
  • Assisting with billing and trust accounts;
  • Access to a junior word processor operator for support.

Who you are

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a secretary/paralegal in wills/estates law;
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career specializing in wills/estates/succession law;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and typing speed over 55wpm;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactivity, results-orientation, and the ability to multitask.
