About this role

We are seeking an individual to work as a Disability Support Worker, providing support and empowerment to clients living with a disability to live in the least restrictive environment, have access to the community, and maintain their quality of life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing future goal plans and support plans with clients;
  • Assisting individuals to maintain their health and wellbeing;
  • Communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders and clients;
  • Actively developing continuous quality improvements;
  • Maintaining an environment that empowers service users and promotes positive behaviours and independence;
  • Undertaking other duties as required.

To succeed in this role, you will require effective and professional interpersonal and communication skills, accurate and timely decision-making skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, you must hold or be studying towards relevant qualifications and experience, maintain a current Australian drivers' license, and comply with the Disability Services Act 2006, screening requirements.
