Job Opportunity: Electrical & Control Systems Engineer

About the Company: A renowned food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for high-quality products and significant growth over the past few years.

The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safe operation of all plant electrical, control, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Maintenance: Ensure the reliability and safe operation of all plant electrical systems.
  • Process Development: Deliver and drive process developments and improvements, taking the lead for control system maintenance/reliability-related activities across the site.
  • Capital Works Planning: Scope and plan for the electrical & automation component of capital works and implement process control, hardware, and software improvements.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and fault-finding expertise across the site.
  • Documentation: Maintain and provide all required control system documentation, including schematics, manuals, parameters, and layouts.
  • Spare Parts Management: Maintain sufficient spare parts and equipment to cover all critical areas and source prospective suppliers for obsolete equipment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree qualified in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with high-speed automation equipment, ideally within the food, beverage, or dairy industries.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with PLC systems such as Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley Rockwell automation systems.
  • Electrical Safety: A sound understanding of Electrical Safety and regulatory requirements, including best practice outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: High-level problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Organisation Skills: Strong organisation skills.
