Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families in Mandurah and surrounding areas. This position is full-time or part-time (4 days per week). Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments are essential.

  • You will work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres
  • Attend initial appointments with families, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child, and goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers at preschools to support children to develop their motor skills
  • Coach parents through finding schools that best suit their young child's needs
  • Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists and family members to support children to develop their communication and social skills
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration. If you are an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, or Educator, you will need to have the relevant degree and registration. You will also require:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
