Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families in Mandurah and surrounding areas. This position is full-time or part-time (4 days per week). Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments are essential.
- You will work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres
- Attend initial appointments with families, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child, and goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers at preschools to support children to develop their motor skills
- Coach parents through finding schools that best suit their young child's needs
- Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists and family members to support children to develop their communication and social skills
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration. If you are an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, or Educator, you will need to have the relevant degree and registration. You will also require:
- Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
- Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and be a team player
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- A valid Australian drivers license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Childrens Check
