Job Role

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing laboratory diagnostic instruments. You will work with national travel and flexible work arrangements.

  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
  • Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
  • Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including inventory, service orders and reports.
  • Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety policies and compliance regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experience.
  • Support on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
About You

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems, Middleware Solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS and interfacing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and demonstrate strong self-organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Commitment to high service quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Professional and positive attitude, ability to remain composed under pressure and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Technical aptitude, attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call roster.
