Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Role Description

A challenging opportunity exists for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sydney International Airport. This is a full-time on-site role with 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on mechanical systems and equipment.
  2. Conduct inspections, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards.
  3. Work collaboratively with the team to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  1. Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical with at least 3 to 5 years post-trade experience as a Service Technician.
  2. Strong mechanical background working on industrial automated equipment.
  3. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical).
  2. Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems highly regarded.
  3. Experience with maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  4. Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems).
