Visiting Medical Officer in General Practice Sexual Assault

We are seeking a highly skilled Visiting Medical Officer to join our team in the General Practice Sexual Assault Service. As a Visiting Medical Officer, you will provide medical and forensic care to adults and adolescents who have been sexually assaulted.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and collect evidence as required
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide trauma-informed care
  • Supervise and educate junior medical staff to foster safe clinical practice
Requirements:
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time
  • Ability to provide best practice, evidence-based clinical services to achieve quality patient outcomes
