Accounts Payable Officer

Job Description:

The role of the Accounts Payable Officer is to ensure the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and other financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Importing purchase invoices into accounting system
  • Checking and verifying invoices
  • Performing weekly payment runs across multiple entities
  • Providing an efficient and effective support service to stakeholders by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of documents
  • Acting as first point of contact with debtors following up on payment of invoices
  • Completing oversight and management of internal employee expense claims
  • Liaising with internal departments regarding outstanding invoices and supplier queries

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred)
  • Experience in a similar accounts role
  • Experience with using MS Office and accounting software
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
  • Positive and personable attitude
  • Ability to problem solve and work proactively
