Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team as a Diversity and Learning Support Teacher. This is a full-time temporary role, commencing term 4, 2024, with the possibility of extension for 2025.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be instrumental in working with students, teachers, leadership, parents, and allied health care professionals to develop plans to ensure all students flourish. This will involve collaborating with teachers to ensure strategies outlined in personalized plans are being enacted daily, guiding and educating support staff in their work in enhancing students' skills to achieve personal goals, and monitoring and developing student personalized plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure strategies outlined in personalized plans are being enacted daily
  • Guide and educate support staff in their work in enhancing students' skills to achieve personal goals
  • Monitor and develop student personalized plans
  • Work closely with the Diversity Leader of Learning to develop deeper knowledge and understanding of the needs of our students
  • Liaise and work with our School Counsellor and CSPD Inclusive Learning Team

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in education, eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), and compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.
