About the Role:- Supervise and educate nurses undertaking post-graduate studies
- Facilitate internal education programs
- Offer support and clinical supervision to graduate nurses, new staff, and students across various surgical specialties
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience within perioperative services
- Engage in multi-modal education methods to provide evidence-based and quality learning for staff, visiting practitioners and students
- Encourage and supervise clinicians in their professional development to provide high standards of patient care
- Encourage and role-model empathy to patients, families and medical consultants
Our hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community. We have eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.
About You:- Registered with AHPRA (essential)
- Have experience in perioperative nursing – scrub/scout
- Hold post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative nursing
- Be able to demonstrate current experience in clinical education in the perioperative environment.
- Hold post-graduate or Masters qualification in education (desirable)
- Have excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
- Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in nursing care
- Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
- Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
