A Geotechnical Engineering role that involves providing support to achieve development and production targets, while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards.
This on-site position follows a roster with options for flexible working arrangements, offering a work-life balance.
Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze geotechnical data to investigate rock fall events and address ground control issues.
- Develop systems for monitoring and mitigating geotechnical risks, collaborating with the team to prepare and issue hazard maps and monitoring reports.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety standards related to ground control.
- Completed bachelor's degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
- Extensive experience in Geotechnical Engineering, particularly in open-cut mining.
- Familiarity with Rocscience Software suite.
- Knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Membership of AusIMM (CP preferred) is advantageous.
