Melbourne, Victoria, Australia CPB Contractors Pty Limited Full time
About North East Link

The North East Link Project is Victoria's biggest road project, and The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package.

Our Design and Construction Contractor will deliver twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package is a Public Private Partnership that provides three-lane twin tunnels closing the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network.

This will reduce journey times and divert heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Precinct Community Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in our communications and engagement function delivering the North East Link's Primary Package.

You will be based at the NEL's Watsonia Hub and provide in-person engagement, as well as project and administrative support for the Communications and Community Relations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships across the project delivery partners.
  • Support the Project Team in engagement activities with external stakeholders by providing accurate project information.
  • Provide project administrative support, including coordinating temporary resident relocation and property damage claims.
  • Report on queries, complaints, and in-person engagement activities.
  • Work closely with the Precinct Community Engagement Lead and Senior Advisor to support the Communications and Community engagement function.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant subject, such as Communications or Public Relations.
  • Ability to operate computer-based technology and software programs like MS Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good writing and data capturing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate administrative support functions.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum

We are committed to equal employment opportunity and actively seek to remove barriers people may face in gaining a successful position on the North East Link Central Package. We value diversity, inclusion, and equity through providing a working environment where all employees feel included, valued, and free to bring their different skills, experiences, and perspectives.
