At Cyient, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Field Technician.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills and experience in field services, new installations, switches, and fibre hauling plans. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for physically checking proposed routes, investigating potential issues, and providing hauling plans for new cables.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting customer premises to identify potential hazards and site conditions
  • Providing fibre hauling plans from lead-in to customer service delivery point
  • Identifying path, cables, and details for new installs, including underfloor, in-ceiling cavity, general cavities, cable tray, catenary wire, pipe, core bore, penetrations, and other cable housing infrastructure
  • Identifying fibre termination locations, rack space, and available power
  • Identifying existing switches, available ports or services in customer premises

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You should also have a strong understanding of fibre installation processes and procedures.
