As a Quality Lab Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of products by performing routine microbiological testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine microbiological testing of food product samples
  • Environmental testing and investigations
  • Maintain external & internal testing database
  • Media preparation and quality control
  • Maintain lab procedures according to company requirements

At least one to two years' experience in the food industry with a qualification in Microbiology is required. Proven laboratory experience in a food environment is necessary for this role.

Requirements:
  • Good understanding & knowledge of microbiological aseptic techniques (Gram staining, aseptic sampling, dilutions, plating and environmental swab collection)
  • Understanding and implement laboratory quality assurance procedures
  • High level of analytical and reporting skills
  • Record keeping experience in data base maintenance
  • Great attention to detail
