Salary
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of AU$106,527.00 per year, plus 15.4% superannuation benefits, based on an Executive Level 1 classification.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced UX designer who can lead our team's deliverables and grow its capability. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, self-direction, and innovative thinking, with the ability to confidently justify design decisions based on human-centred design principles. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading UI/UX design for digital solutions in an Agile environment, creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes based on user research and insights.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, users, subject matter experts, and technical teams to create exceptional user experiences.
  • Facilitating usability evaluations to ensure designs are simple, intuitive, and accessible.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior UX designers to help uplift the team's capability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Proven experience in leading UI/UX design for digital products and services, with a portfolio of highly usable and inclusive designs.
  • Experience developing design systems using Figma, employing atomic design principles for reusable components that ensure consistency across digital products.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud to create wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
  • Ability to conduct user research through qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles, with experience working with WCAG 2.2 standards.
