Service Designer

The primary focus of this position is to design and deliver innovative products and services that meet the needs of citizens in NSW.

This role requires collaboration with a cross-functional Agile Delivery team to drive an agile delivery process, including discovery workshops, user research, and story mapping to achieve solution design and delivery.

A human-centred approach will be applied to understand customer needs and provide an exceptional customer experience whenever citizens interact with our organization.

The team will work together with citizens to co-design public services and products that are intuitive, easy-to-use, and seamless.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Deep understanding of design thinking principles and experience working with agile methodologies
  • Portfolio showcasing service design expertise (customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes etc.)
  • Passion for digital innovation and its potential applications
  • Ability to thrive in an agile environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Honest and transparent communication style focused on exceeding client expectations
  • Capacity to work independently or as part of a project lead or team member
  • Design-related degree and extensive experience in user experience design or related fields
  • Basic business analysis and consulting skills

This position demands the ability to work under high pressure and tight timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
