Senior Leadership Role

About the Job

This is a high-level position that will provide strategic direction and cultural leadership to an Aboriginal community organisation.

The successful candidate will support the CEO and lead public health and wellbeing programs, ensuring cultural safety and responsiveness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow primary health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Manage government funding contracts and compliance requirements
  • Lead and motivate program staff, promoting professional development and excellence
  • Support governance and accountability processes, including finance and administration
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous quality improvement
  • Foster strong relationships with community, government, and stakeholders to advance Aboriginal health outcomes
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Health Administration, or Business Management
  • Extensive experience managing health programs in an Aboriginal community context
  • Strong knowledge of government funding processes and program management
  • Demonstrated cultural leadership and ability to engage Aboriginal communities
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff
  • Strong governance, financial management, and compliance experience
  • High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
