Job Title: Strategic Oversight Coordinator
">About the Role:
">This position is responsible for leading examination activities in places where children and young people are deprived of their liberty. You will employ project management and investigation methodologies to ensure strategic oversight and successful outcomes.
">Key Responsibilities:
">• Prepare high-level and evidence-based advice, support, and guidance to relevant authorities, ensuring alignment with published expectations.
">• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance organisational compliance and performance.
">• Support advisory efforts directed at relevant authorities and conduct activities, including meetings, to educate and raise awareness about expectations on the treatment of children and young people deprived of their liberty.
">• Oversee and drive follow-up on practice improvement activities across organisations, preparing authoritative advice for relevant authorities or their delegates.
">• Deliver timely, expert guidance to organisations on matters concerning the prevention of torture and ill-treatment.
">Requirements:
">• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).
">• Pre-employment Checks include identification check, disciplinary action in previous employment, and National Police Record checks for various crimes and misconducts.
