About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care support, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and preparing meals.
  • Assist with personal activities, such as administration, shopping, banking, and attending appointments.
  • Facilitate community inclusion and participation, promoting social connections and relationships.
  • Follow care plans and routines, ensuring a cooperative and respectful approach.
  • Encourage positive behaviors and effectively manage challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in community services or individual support.
  • Flexibility to work varied rosters, including early morning and evening shifts.
  • Experience in manual handling, hoists, and lifting equipment is highly desirable.
  • A positive attitude, commitment to person-centered care, and ability to build strong relationships.
