About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new business acquisition across the legal, small-law market. You'll achieve this through effective cold calling, prospecting, and closing to meet monthly billing targets.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Chatswood, Sydney head office, with flexible work-life balance arrangements. You'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities- Drive new business acquisition and market penetration through high levels of outbound activity, including cold calls, email outreach, and in-person visits.
- Qualify potential clients through expert discovery, leveraging proven sales techniques to understand client needs and provide recommendations for applicable LexisNexis solutions.
- Effectively manage the end-to-end sales cycle, with a proven track record of closing opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, client interaction, and opportunity sales stage and prediction of sale success.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Director, Marketing & Inside Sales in lead generation and opportunity identification.
- Degree-qualified with demonstrated years of work experience, preferably in the legal solutions market.
- Proven track record of high achievement and performance against sales objectives.
- Proficient in solution selling or software sales.
- Highly competent in communication and negotiation with staff at all levels within a law firm.
- Skilled in problem-solving and negotiation.
- Able to collaborate and partner to meet customer needs.
