Key Responsibilities- Mentoring and Skill Development: Guide customers to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Coaching Independent Living Skills: Assist customers in developing essential skills such as cooking, domestic, and social skills, empowering them to live independently.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medication and adhere to individual support plans, ensuring the well-being of our customers.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication.
- Personal Care: Provide personal care services such as toileting, showering, feeding, and dressing when required, respecting the dignity and autonomy of our customers.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate customers' engagement with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities, promoting social inclusion and connection.
- Availability: Be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, and sleepovers, ensuring a flexible and responsive service.
- Communication Skills: Possess versatile communication skills, including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Driver's License: Hold a current Driver's License, a mandatory requirement for this role.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: Possess a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or be willing to obtain one, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- First Aid Certificate: Hold a current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003, or confirmation of enrolment, demonstrating a commitment to customer safety and well-being.
- Police Check: Be willing to complete a National Police Check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers.
- Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: Receive a competitive hourly rate based on the SCHADS Award 2.1 – 2.2, pending qualifications.
- Team-Based Structure: Work within a team-based structure, promoting collaboration, inclusivity, and a sense of community.
