The successful candidate will have strong skills in legislative interpretation, analytical thinking, and advice drafting, as well as experience working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on environmental and sustainable development issues to clients across various sectors.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including developing proposals and pitches for new clients and projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to inform our practice and deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- At least 0-2 years' experience as an Environment Specialist, with a background in environmental law and ideally planning, Aboriginal cultural heritage, native title or related practice areas.
- Strong skills in legislative interpretation, analytical thinking, and advice drafting, as well as attention to detail.
- Familiarity with State Administrative Tribunal or Supreme/Federal Court litigation.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, required for building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as a team member.
- Experience in supervision and developing junior lawyers.
- A high degree of initiative, dedication, and organizational ability, with a strong client and commercial focus.
- A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives, including seminars and publishing articles.
