Job Title: Senior Associate Aquatic Ecologist

We are seeking a skilled aquatic ecologist with at least 5 years' consulting experience to lead our projects in Perth. As a full-time permanent member of our team, you will be responsible for project delivery, including proposal preparation, fieldwork management, data analysis and report writing. You will also mentor junior freshwater ecologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will provide technical leadership in aquatic environmental services, leveraging your specialist knowledge.
  • You will design, lead and contribute to projects across various freshwater environments, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • You will conduct aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, preferably with specialized study in freshwater ecology.
  • At least 5 years' experience as an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist, with expertise in scientific data collection in aquatic ecosystems.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques, and the ability to prepare reports to a high standard.
