**Role Overview**This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and dynamic individual to play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation. We are seeking a skilled Communications Officer to join our team and develop effective communications strategies across various media platforms.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies across various media platforms, including social media, print, and digital channels.
  • Create high-quality content, including written articles, social media posts, and visual materials, to engage with members and promote ETU campaigns.
  • Work closely with organisers, delegates, and other stakeholders to capture photos, videos, and interviews to support communication pieces.
  • Coordinate and distribute print, digital, and social media content, ensuring all communications comply with brand guidelines and reflect ETU values.
  • Assist in writing press releases, arranging press conferences, and monitoring media queries and relevant stories.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, media, or similar, or demonstrated equivalent, relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling and concise content, articles, social media content, and other forms of communication.
  • Ability to translate complex information into more digestible and relatable content for different audiences.
  • Comfortable using a wide variety of digital platforms from social media to Microsoft Office, content management systems, content editing platforms, and learning new platforms as they emerge.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Graphic design skills, or willingness to learn these skills.
