Livestock Career Development Program

The Livestock Career Development Program is a 24-month program designed to provide skills and training for future leaders or technical experts within the Livestock Industry.

Job Description:

As a participant in this program, you will be involved in various activities, including four leadership and skill-building workshops, on-the-ground training, and mentorship. You will have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, learning effective selling and relationship-building techniques.

During the program, you will gain accelerated learning opportunities, professional networking chances, placement mobility, and business skills. You will also learn livestock skills, such as next-generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, auctions, wool technical requirements, and emerging technology.

This program is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry. If you are passionate about agriculture, possess excellent customer service skills, and have negotiation abilities, we encourage you to apply.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Year 12
  • Minimum 24 months' experience in the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
  • Willingness to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency
  • Vaccination against Q Fever or willingness to receive it
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
