Procurement and Social Inclusion Specialist

The North-South Corridor project is a landmark opportunity for South Australia, delivering the final 10.5km section of the corridor and creating a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels – connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km. The project encompasses the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement social inclusion strategies.
  • Provide expertise on the South Australian Industry Participation Policy and Social Procurement Strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external industry stakeholders, including social enterprises, Aboriginal businesses, and subcontractors.
  • Manage regular meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure targets are met and opportunities are leveraged.
  • Identify and address diversity and social inclusion needs within the project.
  • Advise key resources on commercial risks arising from procurement processes and recommend practical solutions.
About You

We seek a skilled professional with a strong background in social inclusion and procurement. Your skills and experience should include:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, specifically in industry capability development, social engagement, workforce development, or procurement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field (desired).
  • Highly developed communication skills to influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and supporting organisational change and strategic initiatives to drive social procurement.
  • Experience in business development and contract management.
