Job Description:
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Landscape Fire Policy Specialist.
">This role will involve developing, managing, and reviewing the Permit to Light Fire framework, systems, and processes to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance and empower best practice landscape fire activities in the regions.
">The successful candidate will lead the development of organisational doctrine related to the Permit to Light Fire system, establish systems and practices to enable timely and accurate reporting of landscape fire activities, and lead the development of Chief Fire Warden and Fire Warden training framework.
">This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to make a significant contribution to our organisation's efforts in bushfire mitigation and management.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Thorough knowledge of concepts, strategies, and issues associated with managing rural fire services, particularly in a volunteer environment;">
- Sound knowledge of operational leadership at emergency situations utilising the AIIMS/IMS methodology;">
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from rural and remote communities;">
- Proven commitment to maintaining bushfire competencies and operating in a team environment;">
- Incumbents may be required to travel and work within their area of responsibility and may also be required to undertake intrastate and/or interstate deployment and travel.">
