Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled professional to contribute to the effective development, coordination and delivery of emergency management services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire safety and be able to develop and implement programs consistent with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing a fire safety program consistent with Queensland Building Fire Safety regulations and Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Standards.
  • Managing building fire safety requirements, inspections and audits of fire protection systems and equipment ensuring compliance with legislation and approved policy/guidelines.
  • Providing governance on rectification of identified issues and delivering fire safety and emergency management training to a broad range of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage fire systems and emergency management principles within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate work activities and liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels of a large and diverse organisation.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills across a range of disciplines.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21.
