Our organization is seeking a Fire Support Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to community safety and emergency preparedness while working in a dynamic environment. As a Fire Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that responds to fire and other emergency incidents.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will work with your team to respond to emergency situations while adhering to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to community education initiatives to promote fire safety awareness.
  • Participate in regular training exercises to develop and maintain your skills.
  • Maintain high attendance standards for emergency responses and training sessions.
  • Operate specialized firefighting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support incident reporting and general station administration tasks.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Blue Card or eligibility to apply for one.
  • The ability to obtain employer's consent to attend incidents and emergencies (if required).
  • Living or working within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • A valid Manual C-Class driver's license.
