
Inventory Control Specialist

Job Overview:
The role of a Branch Inventory Specialist is to ensure efficient vehicle processing at assigned branch locations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and file information on incoming vehicles for facility assignment
- Perform thorough detailing tasks to enhance vehicle appearance for auction purposes
- Operate passenger vehicles safely for moving vehicles within the facility and participating in drive-through auctions
- Prepare and set up vehicles for weekly or biweekly auctions, including numbering and necessary arrangements
- Recover keys, license plates, and other items from vehicles at the facility and store them accordingly
- Provide assistance to visitors by offering guidance and directing them to relevant personnel as needed
- Operate a forklift/loader efficiently
- Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents to ensure a safe working environment
- Remain vigilant for potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and operated vehicles within the work area
- Meet key performance metrics, encompassing daily, weekly, and monthly goals
- Be willing to learn forklift operation (may not be required in certain facilities)
- Develop effective interactions with customers and team members
- Capable of performing light maintenance tasks on vehicles
- Able to perform physical activities involving standing, walking, and stooping for reasonable periods
- Adapt to varying climates, weather conditions, and surfaces while working both indoors and outdoors
- Possess general mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models
- Function effectively as part of a cohesive team
- Hold a valid driver's license and be able to operate vehicles (may not be required in certain facilities)
- Able to apply security, maintenance, and safety protocols to protect assets
- Apply personal protective equipment appropriately
- Recognize potentially unsafe situations and respond accordingly when accidents occur
- Follow industry-specific regulations related to hazardous materials handling
- Duties are subject to change based on business needs
- Flexibility to perform other tasks as assigned
