We are seeking trade-qualified diesel technicians to join our team in Cairns, the largest center in Far North Queensland.

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications, knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds, and demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with new state-of-the-art machinery and learn from skilled technicians
  • Repair, maintain and service key CAT machinery and components
  • Equipment Assembly of Caterpillar equipment
  • Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment
  • Work as part of a skilled and driven team
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to achieve target times for repairs

About You
  • Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications
  • Knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds
  • Demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery
  • Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar experience in motor mechanics and agriculture/sugar farming
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
  • Customer driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
