We are seeking an Analyst to join our Research team, where you will work closely with senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities. Your expertise in fundamental company research will help us stay ahead of the curve in a fast-paced proprietary trading environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of catalyst events for stocks or sectors under coverage.
  • Develop stock valuation models to inform our trading decisions.
  • Collaborate with derivative traders to identify profitable investment ideas.
  • Provide timely opinions on breaking news and market developments.
  • Forecast dividend yields and evaluate special situations such as mergers and acquisitions.
  • Attend company events and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • A degree from a reputable Australian or New Zealand University with a strong academic record.
  • Prior experience in fundamental company research is preferred but not essential.
  • You should possess excellent written, analytical, and financial research skills.
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with trading environments and derivative products is beneficial but not required.
  • A strong working knowledge of major asset classes is desirable.
  • You must be a self-starter, quick learner, effective communicator, and resourceful problem-solver.
