Senior Financial Modeller

This role is a key part of our Deal Advisory and Infrastructure practice, leading the way in Australia with commercial, financial, transaction management and strategic advice to clients on major infrastructure projects.

The Financial Modelling team combines financial acumen and technical expertise to develop robust and best-practice models to support analysis and decision-making for these projects. As a Senior Consultant, you will leverage your increasing financial modelling expertise on complex greenfield projects, project financing, and M&A transactions.

  • Develop high-quality financial models in a range of contexts, from pre-bid, bid, and post-bid.

  • Review financial models supporting some of the largest and highest-profile transactions in Australia and globally.

  • Have exposure to a variety of different clients across numerous sectors, including infrastructure and energy transition.

  • Manage client engagements or discrete workstreams within a larger engagement, coaching and developing junior staff and client resources.

  • Receive tailored learning and development from experienced financial modellers.

  • Work in a flexible environment with options to work from home, office, or client hubs.

  • Develop and provide financial analysis to effectively interpret the outputs of your modelling on major projects.

You will be expected to deliver best-practice modelling support for clients and have an interest in using information, data analytics, and technology to improve project modelling, planning, procurement, delivery, and management.

We are looking for individuals with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, positive interpersonal and problem-solving skills, strong numeracy combined with high attention to detail, and the ability to balance and prioritise tasks.

A degree in a relevant numerate field, such as commerce, econometrics, accounting, or engineering, is required. Big 4 audit or advisory experience and consulting experience are also desirable but not mandatory.
