About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Applications Packager with a background in software and virtualisation packaging to provide on-going support across our Defence portfolio and drive high-quality solutions to clients.

  • Work within a support team on technical issues and problems related to customer infrastructure.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' environments and service requirements to enable successful delivery of the service.
  • Follow established procedures, recommend improvements, resolve enquiries, issues or problems. Document actions taken for continuous service improvement.
  • Take ownership of identified issues, understand the problem and find optimal solutions or temporary workarounds.
  • Be proactive and take responsibility for learning about current and new products, technologies to support daily business requirements.
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Identify and contribute to Customer Service Improvement Plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 4+ years of experience in packaging software into MSI format.
  • 3+ years of experience in Virtualisation packaging.
  • Advanced skills in App-V.
  • 2+ years of experience in delivering package solutions into a XenApp environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in integration applications into enterprise deployment mechanisms.
  • A complete understanding of application packaging and deployment methodologies using Windows Installer technology.
  • Microsoft deployment methodologies for Windows operating system.
  • Power Shell scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for application virtualisation (AppV) and SCCM, Intune deployment.
  • A current or reinstatable NV2 clearance.
