Job OverviewThis Concrete Transport Specialist plays a crucial part in delivering concrete to customers. Operating specialized vehicles called agitators, the jobholder ensures timely and safe transportation of concrete from plants to construction sites.
Main Responsibilities:- Safely operate agitator trucks to deliver concrete to various locations.
- Follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries to construction sites.
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
- Comply with traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines on the road and at job sites.
- Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and paperwork.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Valid HR driver's license
- Proven experience as a professional driver with minimum 6-months on-road HR experience, ideally with agitator truck experience.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Physical ability to load and unload concrete as necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
- A strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
