Public Health Specialist

The role of Environmental Health Officer involves delivering a range of public health strategies and support services to protect, promote, and enhance public and environmental health.
About the Position- This is a part-time position for 6 months with a possible extension.
- Successful candidates will have experience as an Environmental Health Officer and strong technical knowledge in Environmental Health.
The Role: You will conduct risk assessments and investigations under the Food Act and Public Health and Wellbeing Act. Additionally, you will deliver public health strategies and support services that protect, promote, and enhance public and environmental health.
About YouYou must be suitably qualified and eligible to be a member of Environmental Health Professionals Australia or Environmental Health Australia. You should also have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant Acts, Regulations, Standards, and Codes of Practice relating to Environmental Health.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk assessments and investigations under the Food Act and Public Health and Wellbeing Act.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to customer service, quality principles, and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Work effectively in a dynamic performance-based environment with supportive team members.
- Build positive relationships, gain cooperation, and resolve conflict through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
