We're dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and engaging tennis community, catering to the diverse needs of young players. As part of our commitment to growth and sustainability, we're seeking an experienced professional to lead junior tennis competitions and tournaments across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
This role involves coordinating Tennis Australia Junior Competitive Play opportunities, ensuring seamless and engaging competitive environments for young players. You will evaluate and enhance the experience of junior competitions, guaranteeing they remain well-managed, responsive to player and stakeholder needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating events at a local and state level, strong administration skills, including computer literacy, budgeting, record keeping, and report writing. They must possess excellent interpersonal abilities, being empathetic and inspirational to players, parents, volunteers, and staff. Strong presentation and communication skills are also essential for one-on-one and public speaking situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in coordinating events (preferably tennis) at a local and state level.
- Strong administration skills, including computer literacy, budgeting, record keeping, and report writing.
- Interpersonal ability to be empathetic and inspirational to players, parents, volunteers, and staff.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for one-on-one and public speaking situations.
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
