Public Art Program Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Public Art Project Officer to join our team at the City of Greater Geelong. As a key player in building internal and external relationships, you will facilitate community engagement and support public art initiatives that inspire and enrich public spaces.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a liaison for stakeholders in public art project proposals.
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with council teams and community partners.
  • Championing the involvement of artists and encouraging investment and innovation.
  • Delivering and supporting public art projects, including those involving First Nations' artists.
  • Managing project documentation, including procurement, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Identifying and securing grant funding and managing related reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating public art events and facilitating community participation in projects.
  • Providing guidance on the care and management of outdoor art collections.
  • Adhering to Council policies and contributing to creating an inclusive, child-safe environment.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge and experience in the arts and cultural industries.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven project management skills, with a strong track record of managing public art projects.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience developing project management tools and facilitating networks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications with experience or substantial relevant professional experience.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.

Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $90,263 - $97,365 per annum, plus superannuation.
