Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company, seeks an exceptional Regional Manager to oversee delivery outcomes for their geographical region. This role is pivotal in supporting the business's performance commitments with the Commonwealth.

A high-profile leader will manage regional reputation through strong community presence and engagement. The successful candidate will engage at site level, empowering Site Managers to execute scheduled plans and surge/ incident response activities.

Collaboration with stakeholders is key to creating a sound regional plan. As the interface between senior planning specialists and the Commonwealth, you will drive execution of the reinvigorated Defence contract for your region.

This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in keeping Australian Defence assets ready for 'go live' activities. You will have a major influence on the execution of the Defence contract and potential for career growth and development.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Relevant tertiary and CA qualification or equivalent
  • Financial and commercial acumen across multiple business P&Ls
  • Substantial experience in managing multiple business units and functions across complex work sites
  • Leadership skills to drive outcomes and provide direction to multiple site leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers, and Client representatives
  • Mentoring and coaching skills, including fostering diverse and inclusive teams
  • Strong time management, project management, presentation, report writing, multitasking, risk analysis, and management skills
  • Agile management capabilities and change champion skills in a complex environment
  • Presentation and communication skills to engage various audiences
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety practices

This is a salaried position, with a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Overseeing operational activities to achieve performance objectives
  • Collaborating with the Client to develop and maintain a healthy relationship
  • Utilizing joint knowledge and skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Building relationships with TSAs for sovereign capability
  • Providing leadership through example and achieving business KPIs
  • Developing a strong team culture and recommending productivity improvements
  • Actively implementing change initiatives and overseeing financial performance
  • Positively contributing to a diverse work environment and adhering to Defence policy and procedures
