Dispatch Supervisor Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the dispatch team, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction.

This key position will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe loadout production while maintaining high standards of quality and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain optimal loadout production quality and safety in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Supervise the department to achieve competent task completion and suitable team staffing levels.
  • Provide quality leadership and delegation support to Leading Hands and Staff.
  • Control planning and operation through pre-hygiene inspection to production release.
  • Promote safe work instructions in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance with Occupational Health and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information sharing across the department.
Requirements:
  • Experience in export meat processing with exposure to manual handling, warehousing, and dispatch functions.
  • Familiarity with Export Meat Control Act and associated regulations.
  • Physical and mental fitness required for manual handling tasks.
  • Basic computer skills and relevant business certification or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift licence advantageous, with knowledge of warehousing and logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
