Director of Risk and Governance

This role is a pivotal part of our Corporate Services team.

As the Director of Audit, Risk and Safety, you will lead the strategic direction and delivery of our risk management framework and corporate governance arrangements.

You will support the Executive in upholding risk-based, ethical decision making through expert governance advice and analytical support.

Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date view of key risks and implementing improvements to strengthen risk management and organisational performance are crucial aspects of this role.

Additionally, you will coordinate the input to production of our Annual Report, ensuring timely, insightful and compliant reporting in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic direction and delivery of the agency's risk management framework and corporate governance arrangements
  • Support the Executive in upholding risk-based, ethical decision making
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date view of key risks
  • Implement improvements to strengthen risk management and organisational performance
  • Coordinate the input to production of our Annual Report
About You:
  • Collaborative and forward-thinking leader with extensive experience at a senior/executive level managing enterprise risk and safety
  • Professional Certification of Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM) from Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Member of Governance Institute of Australia (e.g. AGIA or FGIA)
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 31000 and relevant legislation
  • Proven ability to influence, lead change, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability
