Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Data Governance Strategist to lead our efforts in establishing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework. This role is pivotal in advancing our data-driven strategy, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and accessibility of institutional data across domains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data standards, stewardship models, and governance structures that align with institutional goals and compliance requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data quality and consistency across systems, including student information systems (SIS), HR and Identity platforms.
  • Design and implement processes for data cataloguing, lineage tracking, metadata management, and automation-driven data quality improvement using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
  • Evaluate and ensure data privacy and security policies align with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
  • Expertise with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), including Data Quality, Catalog etc.
  • Proficiency in data profiling, lineage tracking, cataloguing, and business glossary creation.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations relevant to higher education.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional working groups and facilitate consensus among stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret complex data flows and integration patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for engaging with business and IT leaders.
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate governance insights.
