About the Role

The Assistant Development Manager will assist in the planning, execution and management of property development projects. The role requires a strong background in construction management, property development or project management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Development Managers with the delivery of multiple concurrent projects across our major developments and capital works portfolios.
  • Coordinating day-to-day project operations including scheduling, site inspections, budget tracking, procurement and reporting.
  • Collaborating with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects moving.
  • Ensuring construction works comply with relevant planning approvals, regulations and environmental standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supporting tender processes, documentation management and quality control procedures.
  • Helping to ensure seamless communication between project teams, contractors, suppliers and senior management.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Development, Project Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, property development or project management, with a solid understanding of the property development lifecycle.
  • Experience in managing or supporting the execution of construction projects (residential, commercial or mixed-use) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project and Argus EstateMaster).
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting and cost management.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Strong focus on ensuring that construction work meets the project's requirements.
